Simple and Easy Ways To Help Missoula High School Baseball

Now that one big hurdle has been cleared, it is time for high school baseball in Missoula get get a boost to hit the ground running. The actual first pitch is still in the distance, but the dream of high school baseball is becoming a reality. The spring of 2025 is the target date for the first games of Missoula high school baseball. After a lengthy process, lots of debate and an historic vote, the three Missoula high schools will each get their own baseball team. Now the real work begins.

Fundraising for Missoula High School Baseball Starts Now

For one year the schools can raise funds for this new sport. After that, it will be up to the Missoula County Public Schools to fund the teams. MCPS is hoping to make baseball "budget neutral, by 2026". That means the public fundraising is currently underway and will be through 2024. The goal is to raise $150,000 by the end of the year.

According to a press release from Missoula High School Baseball they have three target dates set.

Multiples Ways to Donate

The hope is to raise at least $50,000 by each target date. There are multiple ways for you to donate. You can reach out to the Parents For Missoula High School Baseball on their Facebook page. People can also send donations directly to the school district. If you are sending funds that way, here are some tips.

If you would prefer to hand the money in person to someone, you can go directly to the MCPS Administration Building A and drop off your donation. The good news is donations are tax deductible. For now you can help spread the word about fundraising. In the spring of 2025, Missoula will be hearing those two magic words for high school baseball "play ball".
