It happens every year, though in some years sooner than later. NCAA football season comes to an end and Washington Grizzly Stadium lies dormant until next year, just like actual grizzly bears do. Just like when the Griz had their bye week, what happens to the fans?

We can't look forward to Griz football on Saturday until next year whether we were planning on bearing Montana weather at the stadium, watching at home or listening to the game on KGVO. It turns out that you can take back your Saturday, and no, it doesn't have to involve jumping headfirst into the honey-do list which has been garnering interest items and is now so long that it puts CVS receipts to shame.

If you can't watch football, you can watch Griz and Lady Griz basketball. It's one of the go-to sports of winter, and games are conducted INSIDE...with heat for everybody. Nice.

Haley Huard for UM Lady Griz

Both Griz teams play on most Saturdays through March, and even have a few games that will be broadcast on national TV. And if your excuse to not watch is, "well i dunno, it's not football..." are you much of a fan to begin with?

Same could be said for our ice warriors. As of this writing, the Griz host two more games on Saturday nights this season, including a matchup with the Bobcats on December 10th. Come to the rink!
