What's The Blue Tattoo On My Dog All About?

I know at first, this may seem a little shocking, after all, why would you tattoo a dog's stomach? I feel like that a tattoo on your pet could be construed as animal abuse.

It's actually a pretty good safe guard for them, and veterinarians everywhere do it.

If your female dog has a blue tattoo on her tummy, that's the veterinarian making sure that your dog isn't put under the knife again to be spayed.  They do it to male dogs, too. The blue tattoo is a good indication he's been neutered.   Most of the time, after the reproductive organs have been removed, the vet will put some blue ink near the incision to make sure your pet isn't operated on unnecessarily for the same procedure.
