I’ve just got back from a classic road trip: Missoula to Vegas. Cue the desert, the neon, the “I can’t believe it’s still 104°” moment. After that haul, what I wanted more than the Strip? A taste of home and a cold beer with Clamato.

Found: A Little Slice of Montana in Vegas

That’s where Torrey Pines Pub comes in...A mom-and-pop Vegas sports bar that somehow smells like home. Picture Griz football memorabilia everywhere: posters, autographed photos, even a piece of the goalpost from the 2001 National Championship. The kind of shrine that makes your heart bleed maroon and silver.

The Birth of Grizzlyville

This slice of Griz heaven started in 1992, when a couple of customers asked to watch a Montana Grizzlies game. What began as a favor turned into a tradition. Before long, Torrey Pines became “Grizzlyville,” complete with “First dowwwwnnn!” chants, music straight from Washington–Grizzly Stadium, and a community of fans belting out “Move them chains!” All while watching the game from the Nevada desert.

GO GRIZ and GO EAGLES

Torrey Pines Pub opened in 1991 and has been a neighborhood staple ever since. It quickly earned its rep as the Montana Grizzlies headquarters every fall. Since 2016, it’s also been the go-to spot in Vegas for Philadelphia Eagles fans. When the original owner sold in 2024, the new crew promised no changes, and the Grizzlyville tradition lives on.

What’s Inside?

Dark wood, big screens, and pub grub that hits the spot. Especially the cheesesteaks made with authentic Amoroso’s rolls, because Philly counts even if you’re there for the Griz. You’ll also find trivia nights, pool tables, and Montana license plates and memorabilia that make you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s living room back home.

An atmosphere that feels like the Press Box meets Stocks. It’s the kind of place where you can call out “Montana!” and hear “Grizzlies!” shouted back. Even if you’re 430 miles away and 90 degrees hotter.
