One of my favorite comedians has announced a stand-up performance in Missoula, and I couldn't be happier.

This guy has been showing up in movies, TV shows, and comedy specials for decades. I'm talking about the self-proclaimed super-nerd known as Brian Posehn.

Maybe you know him from the hit show "The Big Bang Theory." Maybe you know him from his time on "The Sarah Silverman Program."  Or how about the times he got really weird on "Mr. Show with Bob and David." Odds are good he's made you laugh at some point.

Now he's bringing his stand-up to Missoula.

Brian Posehn Is Coming To The Wilma

Logjam Presents just announced that Posehn will be making a stop at The Wilma on Wednesday, September 30th. Tickets go on sale this Friday through Logjam Presents, and I'd expect them to move fast.

I've been a fan of this goofy guy for years. Sure, plenty of people only know him as the "Big Bang Theory" guy. But what's kept me watching is that he's built his whole career on just being himself.

Comedy, Nerd Culture, And A Little Heavy Metal

Comic books, horror movies, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, heavy metal, the man genuinely loves this stuff.

The metal thing especially gets me. This isn't a show exclusively for rock fans by any means. But there's something satisfying about watching a guy who's actually lived in that world, not just a guy who slapped on a Pantera shirt because it is cool.

Missoula's used to a steady rotation of solid concerts at The Wilma. It's a nice change of pace to see a comedian with this kind of résumé stopping through.
