Things are very slowly getting back to the new normal and events have gone from virtual to partially virtual or limited capacity - but we're getting there. Keep washing those hands and keeping your germs to yourself and we'll get there. For now, the annual River Bank Run is a GO, in person, and virtually.

The 49th annual YMCA River Bank Run will be Saturday, April 24th, and you can run in-person or virtually and upload your results. Considering it's the 49th annual, you can imagine what a tradition the run has become for our community, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a Missoulian who hasn't participated at least once.

All proceeds from the event stay right here in Missoula to benefit our community. Racers can choose between the one-mile fun run, 5k, 10k, or run all three in our signature Trifecta event. Register soon to save your spot, support your local Y, and receive your commemorative race shirt! The one-mile fun run is a great option for families or a group of younger children, we used to participate with the Paxson School students and faculty and it's just a wholesome, good time.

Due to construction of the normal route (you've experienced Higgins in the past few months, it's a bit of a mess) and COVID concerns, the race course is a little different this year. The start and finish will be at Playfair Park, behind the YMCA, and run out and back courses for each of our race distances. Depending on guidelines there may also be the need to stagger starts and break runners into heats for each race. Please keep an eye on the race website and socials for updates.
