It’s Back To “The Merc”

I realize this isn't OUR Macy's.  In fact, I think it might be the Macy's in New York.  But I didn't have a picture of our Macy's.  Mayor John Engen's office announced yesterday that the Macy's building in downtown Missoula has officially been purchased by Octagon Capital Partners (OCP) out of Virgina.

According to the press release the company has not finalized a development plan , but represntatives indicate that a vibrant mix of retail, office, non-profit, and residential uses will constitute the project.

In case you were wondering...their words, not mine.  

And, this is cool, it goes back to being called "The Mercantile", or more likely, just "The Merc".
