Fans Sound Off as a Missoula Brewery Faces An Uncertain Future

Fans of the Missoula brewery Imagine Nation are upset on the internet.

A recent post in the Missoula subreddit page sparked complaints and criticism of Imagine Nation and the situation surrounding the brewery. The username ClarkFork (very apt name) posted that Imagine Nation's building is up for sale.

Cue the fiery responses

"I hate that they bought Imagine Nation and then immediately abandoned the tap room and ran it into the ground. Why would you close a beautiful spot on the river for a s****y spot by the airport?" - WorldlinessLive5932

The comment goes on to attack a licensing debacle that I can't speak to.

Last year, Imagine Nation closed its doors to the taproom on Broadway across from the Poverello Center. Imagine Nation later moved its taproom to 5646 W. Harrier Drive by the airport with the Cymatic Event Center.

Imagine Nation's website said that their "taproom is temporarily closed while we wait for our license to be transferred to a new location."  A Facebook post from September said they were "legally forced to temporarily suspend our taproom."

Who knows what the building will transform into? Maybe it stays a brewery, maybe it becomes a rental, maybe it becomes some other business that I can't think of right now... Who knows?

What I will say is I missed Imagine Nation on Broadway. It had great beer and a patio to look out at the river from. If this truly is the end, you'll be missed, Imagine Nation.
