New Arrival Bam Bam Will Melt Your Heart at the Humane Society
Imagine a timid dog suddenly coming alive with a little cheese—Bam Bam’s story is bound to make you smile.
MEET BAM BAM AND PREPARE TO FALL IN LOVE
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by the animal-loving folks at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Katie introduced us to Bam Bam, a sweet one-year-old little guy who just arrived at the shelter.
Katie says he is friendly and loving, but very shy and uncertain in new surroundings right now. But with a few chunks of cheese (appropriately on National Cheese Lovers Day January 20), he started to relax and make friends with the staff. The tail was wagging and they were lining up to pet him.
Once you get to know Bam Bam, it will be hard not to want to take him home.

FREE VACCINE AND MICROCHIP DAY WEDNESDAY - FAIRGROUNDS
Sorry we were not able to give you more notice on this one, but if you can take advantage of the services, you won't want to miss the chance.
Almost every month, the Humane Society offers free vaccines and microchips at their first come, first served clinics. And there is one Wednesday, January 21, at the Missoula Fairgrounds, from 12:30 - 3:30 pm. The shelter is staffed very well for these clinics, and it is not uncommon for them to serve over 100 pets during those three-hour spans.
ASTONISHING SUCCESS IN 2025
Katie tells us that in 2025, the shelter administered over 7,100 vaccines at their free clinics!
Be sure to stop by the Humane Society soon and visit with all the adorable pets waiting for forever homes. The shelter is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:00-6:00 pm at 5930 Highway 93 South, Missoula.
