Here’s the Movie Lineup for This Year’s Missoula Outdoor Cinema
Ah yes.....the long days of summer when we find ourselves wanting to kick back in a comfy chair and take part in a lazy outdoor activity. That itch can easily be scratched with the announcement of this year's movies that'll play with Missoula Outdoor Cinema - presented by North-Missoula Community Development Corporation. The season will be a bit shorter because of the pandemic.....but they'll be showing some great films over the upcoming six weeks of movie nights.
Movies will play for six consecutive weeks at Head Start School, located at 1001 Warden Ave in Missoula. The movie choices were open to voting back in April - with the full lineup being announced today. It's a pretty fun collection of movies!
JULY 10 - Labyrinth
JULY 17 - Dirty Dancing
JULY 24 - Jurassic Park
JULY 31 - Big Fish
AUG 7 - Inside Out
AUG 14 - Matilda
A Facebook post has details of the weekly movie nights and includes the following information as to how all proceeds go to a great cause: "the event is open to all (except pets, please). Donations encouraged at the gate and all funds go toward making this event happen and toward our work to preserve and develop affordable homes for our neighborhood!"
All of the planned dates are Saturdays, concessions will be served, movies begin at dusk, suggested donations are $5 per person or $10 per family, no alcohol or pets, and picnic food is welcome. C'mon now.....where else are you going to find entertainment for the whole family that will cost you less than $10?
Missoula Outdoor Cinema will make for some fun Saturday nights but they're looking for volunteers to help "get set up, make and sell popcorn, work our concessions stand, take donations at the gate, and leave the Head Start playground cleaner than we found it." If you're interested - you can register to volunteer HERE.
