Help Paint Huge Mural at the Poverello Center
Trying to pull off events in a pandemic year is weird and frustrating. Things you were planning to do got postponed, then postponed again, and sometimes just flat out cancelled in the end. Here's something we were looking forward to earlier in the year that is actually going to happen this Saturday!
An artist named Alex Cook is coming to Missoula to create one of his "You Are Loved Murals," and you're invited to help. Alex has done 180 murals all over the U.S. and even a few abroad, so he's definitely perfected the idea of using wall space to spread a message of love and hope. And if ever there was a year in recent history when we needed some love and hope, this is it.
Volunteers who are interested in some hands on work with the project are invited to The Pov this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must sign up though, so don't just show up. As you can imagine, the staff needs to keep things very organized for social distancing purposes. Here's the page to sign up.
And speaking of The Pov, their other big project right now is their annual Pumpkins for the Pov! You can get yours for just 10 bucks, any size or shape, all of 'em are $10. And you don't even have to go out. Simply order online and myself and our radio staff will deliver every Saturday. For more info on how to win prizes with The Pov Pumpkin Puzzles and which stores have pumpkins, check us out here. Otherwise, here's the link to order online for delivery.
