Bitterroot Valley high school and middle school students have two opportunities for sports physicals at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. The first session is this evening, August 1. The second session is Wednesday, August 7. Both sessions will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Physicians also have scheduled a Darby area sports physical opportunity August 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Darby Clinic. The setup is the same for all evenings - $25 fee by cash or check only, payable at the time of the exam to the hospital. That fee will donated back to the individual student's school athletic program. Over the last decade the hospital has donated over $90,000 to local schools from the examinations.

All male and female valley athletes in middle school or high school are invited. The physicals include height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, vision, posture, strength, flexibility, heart, lungs, ears, nose and throat and will be conducted at the Hamilton hospital's Rehabilitation Center on the southwest corner of the main building. Parents need to fill out a Sports Physical Form AND at least one parent needs to accompany the child to the physical. Students with chronic problems should be seen by their primary care provider. For more information, check the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital website.
