A few noteworthy numbers to savor from the Montana Grizzlies' 35-24 season opening win over South Dakota.  The Griz rolled up 315 yards on the ground led my Dan (kaboom/blam/oomph/kapow) Moore's 148 on 27 carries and a touchdown and Peter Nguyen's 122 on 19 carries.

Montana had the ball 36 minutes compared to South Dakota's 24.

34 first downs in one game is a school record.

Sure, there were bumps, like giving up the 80-yard touchdown pass and a few plays later the interception and 50 yard return for a TD to suddenly fall behind by 8 points in the third quarter. But freshman QB Trent McKinney is a pretty cool customer, the defense got mad and shut the door and overall, a pretty darn good way to kick off 2012! See you on the Coach's Show Tuesday night from 6 till 7 at Paradise Falls!  DB
