A great slogan is all you need to go back to your childhood

If you are of a certain age….and I am, you will immediately recognize these slogans. What is a slogan? According to the dictionary it is:

slo·gan

/ˈslōɡ(ə)n/

noun

a short and striking or memorable phrase used in advertising.

a motto associated with a political party or movement or other group.

Or the Historical definition is:

a Scottish Highland war cry

Whatever the definition, slogans have been around for centuries and often take our minds to a happy place.  For example, who’s slogan is this?

Good to the Last Drop

was Maxwell House Coffee's slogan, it was one of the best slogans  ever.

Folgers slogan was:

The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup

You will see a trend with the slogans I remember.  I like to eat and therefore many of my favorites are food or beverage oriented.  Check these out:

Of course the slogan is about food, but the commercial was about Alka Seltzer

And of course if you consume all of that in one sitting, you better find some

You see the slogan and  immediately you think of the Nike Swoosh and all of the famous spokespeople.  Michael Jordan was one of the originals  that truly helped make the company what it is today.
