God and Aliens Made Them Break In

This is not an explanation that is likely going to get you off the hook, especially when child neglect's involved. But Associated Press tells us that a couple who broke into an amusement park that's closed for the season told them that God and aliens directed them to the Carowinds Theme Park near Fort Mills, S.C.

A security officer saw a truck on the grounds. There was an 8-month-old baby inside. Francis Greene and Jason Lee were found in the park a short time later. Greene is charged with child neglect, filing a false police report and trespassing. Lee is charged with child neglect and trespassing. The baby was taken into protective custody.

God and aliens. Hmmm. Not too "amusing."
