Garth Brooks has collaborated with plenty of artists, both country (George Jones, Brooks' wife Trisha Yearwood and more) and not (remember that "Friends in Low Places" duet with Justin Timberlake?), but there are still a few fellow singers with whom he'd love to share a stage or a recording studio.

When asked about his dream non-country collaborations at a recent press conference, the first person the country legend mentioned was Kelly Clarkson.

"[She] has no ceiling, whatsoever," Brooks says of the American Idol winner (who, admittedly, has earned her share of success in the country genre as well). "She’s very rare. One of those very rare artists [that] I don’t know if I’ve ever heard the top of her range, so it’s amazing."

Brooks' second pick, however, is definitely not country: Lady Gaga.

"She’s a monster. Great entertainer," Brooks continues, noting that having the pop star in his audience at one of his concerts in Chicago was "weird" and "a lot of pressure."

"And the [The Sound of Music medly] she did at the Oscars just showed everybody, hey, flip a coin. Want to go talent? She could go head-to-head with anybody. You want to go entertainment and craziness? She could go head-to-head with anybody," Brooks adds.

Brooks' third choice has some familial country ties: Miley Cyrus.

"She’ll try to make you think she’s crazy as she can be, but that little gal is talented as hell," Brooks raves. "... That gal’s got talent coming out of her ears."

But when it comes down to it, there's no one that Brooks would rather record with more than his wife.

"She’s fun, and she never gets old," Brooks says of Yearwood. "We were in the studio ’til about two o’clock this morning, finishing up a Christmas album, and to hear her do "What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?" is like, 'Oh my God.' It was supposed to be a duet. I walked out about 30 seconds into the song. I just walked out of the studio because I knew there wasn’t going to be a duet. I wasn’t about to open my mouth after that, you know? ... It was just amazing. So, I think I kinda got my hands full with this one."

Brooks and Yearwood are currently crossing the country on his World Tour. Upcoming stops include Baltimore, Md.; North Charleston, S.C.; Worcester, Mass.; Raleigh, N.C.; Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and Las Vegas, Nev.
