FWP Says All Fishing Restrictions In Region 2 Have Been Lifted
Fish, Wildlife and Parks have lifted all fishing restrictions in Region 2 because temperatures have cooled down quite a bit. Region 2 Fisheries Manager Pat Saffel explains.
“They get put on when we have three consecutive days over 73 degrees Fahrenheit and then we can lift them when we have three consecutive days where it doesn’t exceed 70,” said Saffel. “We have had some cooler temperatures lately and we usually run in to that in about the third week of August when the nights get a little longer, but our day time temperatures have been lower as well so we think the water temperatures are good for fishing in the areas where the restrictions have been lifted.”
According to Saffel, Monday marked the third day in a row that temperatures did not exceed 70 degrees.
