The Missoula County United Way is galvanizing for its annual Day of Action on Friday, June 18.

United Way CEO Susan Hay Patrick provides details.

“Missoula is a very giving back community and the United Way's annual Day of Action really symbolizes that,” said Hay Patrick. “We have teams from nine different businesses going out to complete hands on projects either full day or half day at organizations around the community that United Way partners.”

Hay Patrick named some of the organizations that will benefit from Friday’s Day of Action.

“There’s the Boys and Girls Club, CASA of Missoula, Garden City Harvest and their youth farm, Climate Smart Missoula, Mountain Home Montana, and even United Way of Missoula County where we're doing some cleaning up and landscaping. So there's a lot of planting and weeding and painting and cleaning, and it's just a fun community building day.”

Hay Patrick also mentioned some of the businesses that will be taking time to work on the Day of Action.

“We have a team from Scheels, the new sporting goods store, WGM group, Morrison Maierle, Out, JCCS and then some other just individual volunteers who will be joining some of those teams. People who want to volunteer on Friday can reach out to Rosie at Missoula United way.org and Rosie will match them with a project.”
