It seems like the normal excitement of a Friday has been dulled a bit over the last five months. There just isn't the usual amount of summer events to look forward to when the weekend rolls around. All the closures and cancellations have us wishing for the days when we can once again enjoy a calendar full of concerts, festivals, activities and sports.

Even though the amount of events has taken a serious hit, we're slowly starting to see more and more activities on the schedule.

Here's a list of five things that are happening in Missoula over the next five days.

SUMMER SWEAT SERIES AT SOUTHGATE MALL (8/15)
A weekly series offering outdoor fitness classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Get your blood pumping with classes led by fitness trainer Lizzie Dolan of LizFit Fitness. Classes are free with pre-registration. Bring a yoga mat and mask, and get ready to sweat. Upcoming schedule and info HERE.

ZACC COMEDY SHOWCASE (8/15)
We could all use a few laughs right about now. Check out some local comedians as they perform virtually from the ZACC Show Room at 7:30 PM. What's better than seeing a comedy show without having to put on pants to leave the house? Enjoy a night of free comedy but if you're in the giving mood be sure to donate a few dollars to the ZACC. RIDE FOR RESCUE POKER RUN (8/15)
Grizzly Harley-Davidson will host the first annual poker run to benefit human trafficking survivors. Activities begin at 10 AM and include the drawing of the winning raffle ticket for a 2005 Harley Road Glide. You can still purchase raffle tickets on site. Learn more HERE.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE (SPONSORED BY THE YMCA) (8/19)
