First Ever ‘Tour de Missoula’ to Battle Diabetes
According to the American Diabetes Society, almost 10 percent of the United States population suffers from diabetes. This year, to support those individuals and many more in Western Montana, the Providence Medical Group Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center is holding the first-ever Tour de Missoula, a day of exercise, community, fundraising, and fun.
It will be Sunday, October 8th from 9am-2pm. Check in and on-site registration is at 9am, while the events will begin at 9:30am at Caras Park.
The event which is open to everyone and has three options for activity. There is a family friendly 5K walk to the base of the M trail. A hike/run to the M trail, those who reach the top will be greeted by Missoula Smokejumpers. Or the bike riding options which are a 25 mile loop or an 8 mile family ride.
In addition to hiking, biking, and walking there will be music and food vendors at Caras Park, completing the celebration.
Pre-registration runs until September 22nd. Cost is $35 per person or $100 per family. On-site registration is $50 per person. Registration includes a t-shirt, water bottle, and a $5 lunch coupon valid among participating food vendors.
