Diet Coke Delivers Baby – Announcement
One of the best things about learning you’re expecting is figuring out how you are going to tell your loved ones. Once you know, it is so hard to keep it a secret. You have some of the most important and exciting news of your life and just can’t wait to share it with everyone, but just blurting out that you’re knocked up seems so boring. There has to be a much more exciting or creative way to let people know your big news.
Some of my favorites ideas are wrapping some baby thing up like shoes, a pacifier or the sonogram pic up in a gift box and having your loved ones open it. This is great because it is so personal. To give your loved one this gift and watch their reaction when they open it is priceless. I also love sending out cute family pics with a set of tiny shoes on the mom’s belly or just showing the parents feet and a tiny set of shoes next to theirs. This is adorable and I love shoes so it is a double whammy for me. Another great announcement is the pink or blue balloon reveal in a photo. Usually the parents or older sibling are opening a box and the pink or blue balloons (depending on the gender of the baby) are floating out of the box. I love this mainly because I love finding out what people are having. It drives me crazy when people have the patience to wait to find out what they are having until the birth. I don’t have that kind of patience.
My least favorite ways to tell people you’re expecting is the morning sickness photo showing the woman puking in the toilet and the man getting a thumbs up. I think I hate this announcement because I had severe morning sickness for 6 months of my pregnancy. Not so fun. I am also not a big fan of the Prego spaghetti sauce announcement. It’s not because I hate spaghetti sauce, I just detest the work prego when describing someone as being pregnant. I am also not a fan of the mom sporting a baby belly sign pointed at her belly and the father with the beer belly sign pointing at his gut. I don’t like this mainly because guys’ beer bellies are gross.
This video shows a very unique way of announcing a pregnancy. It is a very creative and unique way to let people know their big news. Check it out and see what you think.
