Lady Bird Brings Lip-Smackin’ Goodness to Missoula Humane Society

It is always heartwarming when a more mature pet comes to visit our studios. Sweet, gentle and still full of life.

It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Katie introduced us to Lady Bird. With lots of good years left in her, maybe she could be just the right "new" pet for you.

Lady Bird is just over 9 years old. As one of the oldest animals at the shelter, Katie says she's been stealing everyone's hearts, because she is so sweet, smart and easygoing. She loves to ride in the car and spend time outside following her nose, along with fetching and swimming. House-trained and crate-trained, too.

Lady Bird was an owner surrender. The person that had her really enjoyed her, but just wasn't in a place where he could keep her. She has been around kids, cats and other dogs (though she might prefer human friends the most). She is spayed, vaccinated and eagerly waiting for her new forever home.

SENIORS FOR SENIORS

Lady Bird also qualifies for the shelter's Seniors for Seniors program. When a senior citizen adopts an older pet from the Humane Society, there are no adoption fees. Get all the details when you go visit.

END OF SUMMER ADOPTION EVENT

As they do every year, the Missoula Dairy Queen at Higgins and Strand will be hosting one of the shelter's off-site adoption events, set for Saturday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. The Humane Society of Western Montana will bring numerous dogs and cats that can be adopted right there at the Dairy Queen.
