Circus Elephant Shot in Drive By

Cruel, senseless and the reward is growing. Carol, an Asian elephant, should make a full recovery in a few weeks. Carol was shot in Tupelo, Mississippi in the middle of the night. A Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus veterinarian says the bullet hit Carol in the neck just above the shoulder, but missed any major blood vessels or nerves. Carol, 39, has been active and alert since the injury. Animal lovers have stepped up to offer a reward of $21,000 so far for information leading to an arrest. Here's hoping some dumb ass brags about his or her drive-by shooting adventure to the wrong person. DB
