‘Binge-Watch’ is 2015’s Word of the Year
We now know the word of the year for 2015...and it's something that causing quite a dent in our couches. According to the Collins Dictionary we have a few new definitions that will be added to their annual vocabulary round-up.
The word is...binge-watch. We've learned that this word has seen an increase in usage over 200% vs. the previous years. The official definition of binge-watch is..."to watch a large number of television programs, especially all the shows from one series, in succession."
Here's some others that made the cut...
Dadbod. "An untoned and slightly plump male physique, especially one considered attractive."
Ghosting. "Ending a relationship by ignoring all communication from the other person."
Swiping. "To move a finger across a touchscreen on a mobile phone in order to approve (swipe right) or dismiss (swipe left) an image."
