Beloved Missoula Center Makes Decision To Cancel All Indoor Events
We had a good run in 2021, but unfortunately, with COVID cases back on the rise, things are starting to look a little more like 2020 - namely, a lot of planned events are starting to get cancelled. I don't think it'll be quite as bad as last year, when pretty much nothing was able to happen, but we're definitely not out of the woods yet.
We just found out about the cancellation of Missoula's Rocky Horror Live at the Wilma, and now we've got word that the Missoula Senior Center has cancelled all indoor activities until further notice.
The Underground Thrift Store will continue (with masks required) and the Grab And Go Lunch Program will be uninterrupted, but otherwise, any kind of indoor event at the senior center is off the table for the time being.
I'll admit I haven't spent much time at the Missoula Senior Center (although this past summer I have been attending the Roxy Theater's Hip Strip Movie Nights, which take place in the Senior Center's parking lot). But a lot of people love to check out all kinds of different events and classes there, and it's a shame that those have to go away for a while.
Hopefully, as more and more people continue to get the vaccine, the Missoula Senior Center will be able to return to business as usual sooner rather than later. Did you have an event you were looking forward to at the Senior Center?
