Bear Roams Washington D.C.

Well, this is probably something the locals don't see too often. I mean, this ain't Alberton, right? A 100-plus pound black bear was captured in the nation's capital Thursday. It was on the loose for more than an hour running through yards. It finally ducked into a stand of trees and was hit with a tranquilizer dart. Sleeping bear was taken into custody and the Washington Humane Society says it will be moved outside the city. So, let's see: It spent time in our nation's capital basically doing nothing, tried to avoid being forthcoming with the public, citizens gave its presence a very low approval rating and it was eventually thrown out. Hey, it should run for congress! DB
