Be Careful When Doing Extra House Cleaning, Montana

You would most likely have to put this in the "unintended consequences" category, trying to keep your house more sanitary amid coronavirus concerns.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention released findings on Monday that show a sharp rise in accidental poisonings, which they attribute to our vigilant efforts to maintain cleaner home environments during the coronavirus epidemic.

The CDC estimates that such accidental poisonings from cleaners and disinfectants during the first three months of 2020 are up about 20 percent compared to first quarter figures from 2019. Second quarter figures are likely to be similar once those are released.  Obviously with more people staying at home and using more chemicals to clean and disinfect more frequently, such mishaps were likely to increase.

Nobody is telling you to clean less. The CDC just wants you to read the labels, see what products might be safer and use caution when trying to protect your home.
