The removal of snow on Going-To-The-Sun Road is underway in Glacier National Park. For a while it appeared crew wouldn't be able to start as soon as they have in previous years due to budget problems with sequestration.  The Glacier National Park Conservancy came up with the needed money. So far crews report above average snow depths above 4500 feet. This operation is a months long task along the 50 miles of road that bisects the Park. It can take a couple of months to complete the job.
