The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 10 new complaints this past week.  County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says four of those crimes involved violence.

“Two of those were interpersonal violence or family violence,” Pabst said. “There was one partner or family member assault case in which the suspect allegedly elbowed his girlfriend in the face and two children were present during the incident. A second partner or family member assault was also charged. The allegation is that the defendant grabbed the victim’s throat and slapped her face while she was under the protection of a previous court order.”

According to Pabst, the violent crimes did not stop there.

“There was an aggravated burglary in which the suspect kicked down a door and punched a man in the face,” Pabst said. “The suspect allegedly stole the man’s phone. There was another case where we charged assault on a peace officer. The defendant failed to stop at a stop sign and was arrested on a warrant. While the officers were attempting to effectuate that warrant, the suspect pulled a knife on the officers and went on the fight.”

Pabst says there were also three theft cases, one methamphetamine case and one felony DUI.
