It's called the "Hacker Open" and it has raised money for the Bitterroot Winter Special Olympics every year that the winter games have existed. The Sunday, September 15, tournament at the Hamilton Golf Course is a best ball scramble, so golf "hackers" are encouraged to pick up a club and flail away. You only need one good player on your 5-member team in the best ball scramble. Don't have a team? Don't worry. Register at (406) 363-4251 and you'll be placed on a team. Tee time is 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

The fundraiser for Bitterroot Winter Special Olympics is $70 per player and is the only fundraiser for the winter competition for special Olympians, held at Lost Trail Powder Mountain. The Montana Winter Special Olympics was cancelled, so that makes the Lost Trail event more important than ever.
