A Socially Distanced Version of Oktoberfest Underway in Missoula
Amid all the COVID craziness, isn't it comforting to know we can still count on a good mug of beer? Ja!
Now in progress, Bayern Brewing Incorporated and Global and Cultural Affairs of Arts Missoula have come together to bring you the 2020 version of Oktoberfest and Germanfest, with "A Taste of Oktoberfest." Some awesome beers can be found this time of year and you are still invited to partake in a more controlled environment.
There were lots of questions on whether or not the traditional Oktoberfest at Bayern Brewing and Germanfest at Caras Park would be taking place this year and sadly they will not. The feeling was that holding such a large gathering during these times would not be wise, and organizers wanted to continue to keep everyone safe so next year there can be an even bigger Oktoberfest and Germanfest celebration.
Bayern Brewing and Edelweiss Bistro, 1507 Montana Street and the Stone of Accord, 4951 North Reserve Street, are hosting smaller, socially-distanced, safe celebrations, with authentic German beer steins available for purchase. Proceeds from these steins will help support the connection between Missoula and our sister city, Neckargemund, Germany. Steins are in a limited supply, so get yours while they are still available.
If you'd like to know lots more about what all is happening, please visit the Arts Missoula Germanfest web page.
