Montana center Brian Qvale has been named the MVP of the Griz men's basketball team, while guard Will Cherry has been named the team's outstanding defensive player for the second year in a row. The awards were announced at a recent team dinner.

A great game Saturday night for the Griz and for Brian Qvale, not so great for the referees. Griz Nation were on their feet Saturday night berating the officials on how they were calling the game. But it didn't last long as Montana pulled ahead follwing half-time.
