Top 4 Must-Visit Towns in Montana

From the 8 can't-miss towns, I'm narrowing it down to just 4. Here are the best of the best.

Gardiner

A gateway into Yellowstone National Park. If you enter from the north, you quite literally cannot miss Gardiner.

✔️GARDINER IS CAN'T MISS. GOOD PICK.

Red Lodge

Close to the Custer Gallatin National Forest, Red Lodge is a must, especially if you're a skier or snowboarder. That's going into the 'yes' bucket.

Stevensville

I like Stevensville. It's in a beautiful area down the Bitterroot, but I'm going to say you can skip Stevensville. Sorry, Steve-I

You can have a blast in Butte, America, especially if you're going on St. Patrick's Day. But I have to leave this off the Top 4 due to the remaining towns on the list.

Whitefish

I'm going to throw a hot take at you here. I'd rather go to Bigfork instead of Whitefish. There aren't as many people, and it's got the cutest downtown you'll find. Even so, Whitefish earns its place on this list.

Livingston

Man, the last three are really tough. It's down to Livingston, Hamilton and Polson. I haven't spent as much time in Livingston as I have the other two, so for that reason, I'm going to give the edge to Livingston.

Polson

The view of Flathead Lake in Polson may be the best when you're coming in from the south. Polson doesn't quite make the top 4, though.

Hamilton

I love Hamilton. Part of me thinks I strayed away from Hamilton because I've spent more time there instead of Livingston. It loses its allure when you've been there more. I don't know, I'm splitting hairs.
