Six-month Jobs Available at Various Flathead Lake State Parks
It sounds like Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has a number of positions to fill for later this spring through at least early fall.
If you are interested in spending the summer working along Flathead Lake and value resource protection and customer service, Montana FWP might have a job for you. They are hiring full-time and part-time positions at several state parks across the Flathead Valley to fill this spring through fall. And actually, not just for Flathead Lake state parks.
Positions are available at Logan State Park on Middle Thompson Lake, and the Big Arm, Wayfarers, Yellow Bay, Finley Point and West Shore units of Flathead Lake State Park. A position is also available at Whitefish Lake State Park. The six-month positions pay $14.70 per hour with paid leave and retirement benefits.
Montana State Parks staff manage scenic, natural, historic, archaeologic, scientific and recreational resources. These local park positions will support daily park operations at day-use areas, campgrounds, water-based sites, park offices, visitor centers or entrance gates.
The Flathead Lake State Park system consists of six unique park units located around Flathead Lake. The park units on the east side are Wayfarers, Yellow Bay and Finley Point, and the west side units are West Shore, Big Arm and Wild Horse Island. In addition to boating, swimming and fishing, each park unit offers unique experiences including camping, rental picnic shelters, group camping, hiking, sightseeing, picnicking and wildlife-viewing opportunities.
The guess here is that there could be a large number of applicants, so if this has appeal to anyone out there, you might want to get busy on the application process, which can be found on this page of the montana.gov website.
Good luck and maybe we will see you on the shore this summer!
