Missoula YMCA Offering Free Services to Flood Evacuees
Our friends at the Missoula Family YMCA let us know today that they are reaching out to those impacted by area flooding.
The YMCA, working with Missoula's Community Organizations Active in Disaster, is offering free services for families and individuals who have been evacuated from their homes due to flood conditions.
The Missoula Y offers showers, child watch, group exercise classes, family fun time and more. And evacuees can register for a free pass at the YMCA, 3000 South Russell Street, during the evacuation period. A valid photo ID is required for all adults.
The Clark Fork River above Missoula has reached major flood stage and is expected to crest at over 14 feet this weekend. An evacuation order is in effect for a number of street, mainly in the Orchard Homes area and sections off Mullan Road.
Our thanks to the Missoula Family YMCA for letting us help spread the word, and to them for being such an awesome neighbor. If you need to know more about free services being offered, you can call the Y at 406-721-9622.
