I'll be honest - all I know about Lucero - I learned today!

They started in Memphis twenty years ago.  And nine albums later, they'll be at The Wilma tomorrow night (November 13th).

Their first show was in their hometown, in 1998.  They played a six song set for about six people in attendance.  The band has played around 200 shows per year for most of the last 20 years.

Although none of them can speak Spanish, they found their name in a Spanish/English dictionary. “Lucero” is variously translated as “bright star” or “morning star.”

Tickets are still available for the show!
