Your Kids Can Drive the Big Rigs Saturday to Help Missoula Food Bank
"Construction is badass! But when you work in it day-in-and-day-out, it is easy to forget."
So says the team at Jackson Contractor Group of Missoula, who will once again donate their time and training expertise to help support the Missoula Food Bank and get the youngest of recruits all fired up for a career in the construction biz!
MISSOULA UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This Saturday, August 17, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Fort Missoula Regional Park, Missoula Under Construction gives kids a chance to come and operate an excavator, drive a forklift, and even go up in a scissor lift! Then they can visit the "When I Grow Up" Tent and learn how a toilet works, create bridges for elephants to cross, work concrete, build a chimney, paint a house, and try on some personal protective equipment.
Jackson Contractor Group started this event in 2018 to benefit the Missoula Food Bank and Community Center and to share their awesome jobs with kids! Since it began, they have had over 6,000 attendees and raised over $250,000 for the Food Bank!
WHAT ONE PARENT HAD TO SAY
"My son had such a good time! Thank you everyone who put this on! I work construction everyday and he never gets to see what I do. It's great to see all the little ones out there, seeing their eyes light up with all the equipment!"
HOW TO GET TICKETS IN ADVANCE
Tickets are $5 each or $20 for the whole family. You can purchase them at this page of the Missoula Food Bank website. Or to find out more you can contact Jackson Contractors at 406 542 9150, or the Food Bank at 406-549-0543.
