Earlier this summer, we learned that the Gap would be leaving Southgate Mall. On a recent visit, it looks like there have been several changes that will continue to give Missoula options for new clothing.

There's a New Store Where the Gap Used to Be

Concept Apparel has moved into the location where the Gap used to be. Concept Apparel offers a variety of clothing for women, men, and kids as well as Plus + Curve options. The price points are similar to the Gap, but the clothing seems to be more varied in style. They also seem to know their audience--notice the "Griz" colored clothing in the window display.

The J.Crew Factory Is Now Open

Early this summer we found out that a J.Crew Factory would be opening. J. Crew Factory of course has lower prices than J. Crew, but you'll find that the sales prices are closer to what you might have paid at the Gap.

There's a New Store Where Lululemon Used to Be

If you don't frequent the mall or all wings of the mall, you may not know there is a Lululemon store that used to be by Dillard's and is now closer to the H&M.

In its place, a new store called Daily Thread has moved in. This is the second location in Montana, the other being in the Rimrock Mall in Billings. On its website, the Daily Thread says it's one of the "fastest-growing retail chains in the United States" and that as part of its brand's philosophy, it provides an expanded selection of sizes to include S-3X and 0-22W.

The Place Where the Kids Gap Used to Be Appears to Still Be Vacant

We'll have to keep our eye on the spot next to Concept Apparel. It didn't look like anything had moved in yet, but if any of the other changes are any indicator, there will likely be something moving in soon.
