The National Weather Service/Missoula has asked up to pass along an area hydrologic outlook. The Clark Fork River above Missoula is forecast to reach flood stage Friday due to snow melt.

Higher-than-average temperatures so far this week have resulted in accelerated streamflow on the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers. The latest forecast shows the Clark Fork above Missoula reaching flood stage Friday afternoon. Waters will drop back below flood stage by Sunday morning with cooler temperatures arriving by the weekend.
