Every Second Tuesday of the month we have our KYSS FM's Pet of the Month with the Humane Society. This Tuesday though our dog is pretty special. Meet Tom!
Being hug animal lovers Billy and myself just jumped on the opportunity to feature some of the wonderful animals at the Humane Society of Western Montana. Every second Tuesday of the month we will have an animal on the morning show.
Backyard chicken farming has become popular along with backyard gardening. We have jumped on the backyard band wagon too. My husband is the gardener in our house and I am what you would affectionately call a crazy chicken lady.
We have a dog that is a little on the hefty side. She is so large that the vet has told us she needs to lose 20 percent of her weight. This wasn’t a shock to us as her nickname is Moo Moo.
I’ve never been a huge fan of cats. I don’t dislike them, I just like dogs better. Now that I think about it, it might not be the cats’ fault that I don’t care for them so much, but the crazy cat lady’s fault. A Colorado anchorman recently went on a humorous rant about the number of snow covered patio pictures he was receiving from viewers. He pleaded with his audience that they could do better than this. He told them that taking pictures of snow covered patio furniture was the easy way out. He begged them to send him pictures of their beautiful state, and not of people’s back decks.
There are certain times when we just need a hug. You know-- when we thought Twinkies were going extinct or after the 'Game of Thrones' 'Red Wedding' episode, AKA hard-hitting stuff.
Have you ever noticed how different animals eat? It’s interesting if you think about it. For example, a cow simply plants its face in its food and chews away. How about an alligator? What do you think it’s like when an alligator opens its big jaws and just chomps away? That must make quite a mess. How about a lizard? It slithers along and then suddenly attacks its prey.
