4th of July

I’ve been thinking about what to have for 4th of July dinner. I see my local favorite supermarket has a special on baby back ribs. So that settles that;  I’ll do them St. Louis style with some corn on the grill and potato salad. Man I’m hungry already...

Forget about the dawn’s early light, this Fourth of July is all about the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air and maybe even a couple of spiders. Those are the ones that, well, look kind of like a spider, anyway. Here are 10 great fireworks displays throughout the country. If you are like pretty much everyone in America, you will be spending the fourth with family and/or friends. It’s just one of those holidays that screams backyard get-together. Make no mistake, the ban on fireworks in the city of Missoula will be strictly enforced, perhaps for the first time in many years, on this coming Fourth of July holiday.

While the rest of us were enjoying a lengthy 4th of July fireworks show last night, San Diego residents got completely robbed when their display went off all at once in a spectacular explosion that lasted a mere 15 seconds.

Country music superstar Alan Jackson will help some deserving military families celebrate July 4th a little bit early this year. According to a post on Jackson’s website, the singer is slated to perform this coming Saturday (June 30) at Fort Sill, Okla. to kick off the military installation’s patriotic festivities.
