Missoula’s Blackfoot River Clean Up Coming Up!

If you enjoy the beauty that is Missoula and Western Montana, you should join in on the Blackfoot River clean up! The efforts have two ways to help out. The first one is distribution of mesh bags used for floating, fishing, and swimming to insure people clean up their mess after enjoying the river. Each year 7,000 bags are distributed. The second part of the project is the 'River Clean Up Day'.

For the River Clean Up Day for Divers, Snorkelers, and Rafters people are being asked to show up around 8am. For those Walking, Wading, and Floating to help out, please show up at 9am. To sign up for the clean up day, you can make that happen at either Missoula Fresh Market location in Missoula. The day is set for Saturday, June 30th at Johnsrud Park in East Missoula.

A shuttle will be set up from Johnsrud Park to the clean up location will be provided, and a BBQ for all volunteers will be held from 11am-4pm as people are doing with the clean up.
