University of Montana football strength coach Rob Oviatt has left the program. That announcement came to us today from UM Sports Information. Oviatt just completed his fourth year. Head football coach Mick Delaney announced that Oviatt is leaving for personal reasons.

"Rob left because he has some family situations he had to take care of, and that just shows what type of guy he is," Delaney said. "We're very, very sorry to lose him, but at the same time, we understand what he's going through, and our thoughts and prayers are with him."

Oviatt has 33 years' experience in strength and conditioning business and at several different universities. He and his wife Kathleen have four children: daughters Lindsay, Allison and April and son William.  DB
