More Preseason Honors for Griz Football Players
More early recognition came in Tuesday (July 1) for two University of Montana Grizzly football players.
Both wide receiver Ellis Henderson (pictured) and defensive end Zack Wagenmann were named to The Sports Network’s 2014 preseason All-America FCS second team. Henderson, a junior from Portland, Ore., was named to the prestigious team as an “all-purpose” player. Last season he led the Griz with team-highs of 43 receptions for 1,008 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. He was also ranked among the top return men in the FCS. Wagenmann, a senior from Missoula, was ranked among the Big Sky Conference’s leaders in sacks, and tackles for loss and was a first team all-conference selection. So props to those guys. Can’t wait to watch them perform this year! DB
