As if Subway Riding Isn’t Creepy Enough

I have never ridden the subway in a major metropolitan area. I'm sure you adjust and accept it as a way of life.

But, the last thing you probably need is someone making the ride a bit more gross with her crickets and worms. It is a bit unclear in the Associated Press story what the woman envisioned people using her worms and crickets for if they did by them. But thanks to a bumpy ride, some New York subway passengers got them for free.

Whatever the woman was carrying the critters in, it got jostled and spilled. Passengers had to deal with crickets on them and worms on the floor. Most people just moved to the other end of the car, but someone decided to pull emergency brake and the train came to a halt.

I guess this is why you never want to share the subway with a cobra salesman.   DB
