Subway CEO Passes Away

The Subway sandwich chain's bad year just got a lot worse CEO Fred DeLuca died Monday after a long bout with cancer.

DeLuca, who was just 67, founded the company 50 years ago. He'd recently passed the CEO torch to his sisterSuzanne Greco so he could focus on his treatment for leukemia.

It's a second big blow to Subway this year as it deals with fallout from the child-porn charges against former spokesman Jared Fogle. (Stamford Advocate (Connecticut))
