Al’s Book Blog- Fighting Montana Forest Fires
My wife picked up this book and passed it on to me after she was done saying it was pretty good. She didn’t tell me it involved smokejumpers, a couple of small fictional Montana towns, characters that you felt like you’ve met and a good story line. Stephen Frey’s Hell’s Gate is a good book.
It’s fire season in Big Sky Country and some one is setting them. Along comes a New York lawyer fleeing the rat race. He likes the town, Ft Mason, and the locals like him. Following his instincts the lawyer uncovers a plot that proves the forest fires aren’t accidental. It’s a good mystery with lots of local interest. Not a difficult read but a fun one.
