It's officially spring! We're starting to see some warm weather - with occasional bouts of cold weather, because hey, it's Montana - and we're excited for the changing of the seasons.

In Missoula, the coming of spring means a few different things. Outdoor concerts will be starting up at Kettlehouse Amphitheater in May, with shows from artists like 311, Bastille, and Halestorm. Once the river gets low and warm enough, we'll start to see some floating going on. The Missoula Paddleheads are getting ready to kick off their season. And of course, it means the flower baskets will make a return to downtown Missoula.

Pink Grizzly Is Preparing the Downtown Flower Baskets for the Spring

According to NBC Montana, Pink Grizzly has already begun preparations on this year's flower baskets, which will hang all over downtown Missoula. They've been working with the Missoula Downtown Partnership to do this for over ten years now.

Depending on the weather, the flower baskets should be ready to go by early May. There will be 120 baskets in total, with about twelve plants in each one.

For a lot of people in Missoula, the return of the flower baskets signals the real beginning of spring. It'll officially be time to get out there, do some nature walks, play some sports, all that stuff.

Or maybe, it just means it's time to do some spring cleaning. Which, hopefully you have an easier job of it than The Simpsons do.

Remember: you never know when an old calendar might come in handy. Sure, it's not 1985 now, but who knows what tomorrow will bring?
