Oh man, have I missed The Roxy.

Before the pandemic hit, I would spend a whole lot of my free time there, seeing new releases, watching old favorites, discovering movies I'd never seen before. I strategically chose my apartment in Missoula largely because it was within walking distance to The Roxy.

And then, thanks to the pandemic, it all shut down - and The Roxy's been doing what it can to keep providing Missoula with a place to see movies. It teamed up with Ogren Park to do Centerfield Cinema all summer long, and they've been doing private movie screenings for those who want to rent out a theater for a few close friends.

And at the beginning of the summer, they started work on The Roxy Garden, an outdoor venue behind the theater that would allow them to screen movies outside. And now, finally, they're ready to unveil it this weekend, with three back-to-back nights of one of the greatest musicals ever made, Singin' in the Rain, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each at 8:30 PM. That's the only movie they've announced so far, but we'll likely be hearing more about what's coming up soon.

The Roxy made the announcement on their Facebook page, and they've added a link to buy tickets at their website. If you're planning to go, I'd recommend getting your tickets early - seating is going to be pretty limited.

Oh hello there. Did you miss us? We're back!

The Roxy is proud to welcome you to Movies in the Garden, evening...
