Western Montana is undergoing an extreme temperature change this week, shifting from 50 degree temperatures up into the upper 70s or even 80s by Saturday... but it may not last.
It’s been unusually cold in western Montana, but according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Ryan Leach, when it comes to low temperatures, Missoula and Hamilton are actually the warmest.
Traffic was backed up past Lolo, with some claiming to have been waiting for 30 minutes near 8:00 a.m. as first responders dealt with a jack-knifed trailer.
